Texas Motor Speedway: NASCAR fans got a dose of Wi-Fi this spring when Tropos Networks and Outback Telecommunications built a temporary mesh network for the Samsung/Radio Shack 500. Tropos said 40 journalists and 100 fans logged onto the service during the weeklong event, both from the stadium and their nearby vehicles.
