With a little effort, your 2024 Spotify Wrapped playlist can be stripped of your kids' music.

Spotify

The 2024 edition of Spotify Wrapped has finally dropped, and although some folks are complaining about the lack of top genres and AI slop, it's the parents of young children who have the biggest beef.

While the rest of the world is showing off their cool lists of top artists and songs, Spotify users with kids might be stuck with a list full of Bluey, Paw Patrol and truck songs.

While you can't really change the content within your own Spotify Wrapped collection or stats, you can tweak the related Your Top Songs 2024 playlist to delete stuff like the Poop Poop Poop Poop Song and the Bluey Theme Tune. When you're finished, you can share that playlist online to take part in the Spotify Wrapped fun.

What is the Your Top Songs 2024 Spotify playlist?

The annual Spotify Wrapped recap assembles your listening data from the start of year until sometime a little before its release. It gives you all sorts of stats like total minutes listened and number of different artists played. It also includes details about which songs you listened to the most and then uses that information to create a personalized playlist called Your Top Songs 2024.

The Your Top Songs 2024 playlist contains the songs you listened to most in 2024, listed in the order of songs you played most frequently to least frequently.

You can find Your Top Songs 2024 playlist at the end of the Spotify Wrapped presentation, or by visiting the Spotify home page. You can also simply search for "wrapped" and it should be the first or second result.

How do I edit my Your Top Songs 2024 Spotify playlist?

In previous years, the Your Top Songs playlist from Spotify Wrapped was owned by Spotify, so you had to make a copy to edit it. This year, however, the playlist is under your control, so all you have to do is edit the playlist on iOS, Android or desktop to rid yourself of those blasted kids tunes.

On the desktop app, with the Spotify Your Songs 2024 playlist loaded, simply hold down the control button (Windows) or command button (Mac) and then click on each of the songs you want to remove from your list of 100. Once you've selected all of the tracks you want to remove, right-click on Windows or control-click on Mac to bring up the context menu, then select Remove from this playlist.

For both the iPhone and Android mobile app, the process is mostly the same with a few technical differences. Start by visiting your Spotify-created Your Top Songs of 2024 playlist and clicking the three-dot icon near the top. Scroll down the resulting pop-up menu and tap Edit.

Instead of selecting all the songs you want to remove at once, like you would do in the desktop app, you'll need to delete tracks from the playlist one by one. Just click the "minus" sign next to each song you want to remove. Rinse and repeat until you get to the end of the playlist, and Bluey and Elmo will be vanquished.

How do I share my new Your Top Songs 2024 Spotify playlist?

Once you've edited your Your Top Songs 2024 playlist, it's simple to share it on social media or elsewhere. On the desktop and web apps, visit your playlist page, click that three-button icon yet again, and select Share > Copy link to playlist on desktop or Share > Copy link on mobile.

You can now paste that link into Facebook, Instagram, X, Bluesky or whatever social network you prefer. And you won't have to worry about your friends thinking you have an unhealthy obsession with Raffi or The Wiggles.
