A new student streaming deal is up for grabs.
Max may have increased the price of its ad-free plans earlier this summer, but now it's offering a discount on ad-supported streaming for US college students. The deal, announced Thursday, reduces the monthly Max With Ads plan from $10 a month to $5.
Max is working with Unidays to verify students' eligibility. Students will receive a unique discount code good for 12 months and must verify their status again after that period to continue streaming.
Max's big show of the summer is House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel series releasing new season 2 episodes on Sundays. Upcoming new releases include season 3 of Industry on Aug. 11, The Penguin on an undisclosed date in September, and The Sex Lives of College Girls. According to today's release, the teen comedy-drama will premiere its third season in November.
If you aren't a pupil and want to save some money on Max, you can opt for an annual plan, which costs less than paying monthly for the same amount of time. Here's more on the streaming service, which unites the HBO Max and Discovery Plus libraries.
